Meet Our Family: The Heart of Seaside Cruise Travel

Hi there! We’re Lori, Rob, and our two daughters, Kaitlyn and Hailey—your dedicated family behind Seaside Cruise Travel. Rob and I have been together since high school at Palm Beach Gardens, and we’ve shared many unforgettable milestones together. Our journey started with a Royal Caribbean honeymoon aboard Majesty of the Seas in 1994, and we just celebrated our 30th anniversary aboard Margaritaville at Sea Islander. Yep, we LOVE cruising!

Our family’s love for cruising spans over 40 years! My first cruise was aboard the Carnival Mardi Gras in 1982—a special 13th birthday gift from my beautiful grandmother. From the moment I stepped on board, I was hooked! Rob’s first cruise was a bit different. As a Gulf War Veteran, he was deployed on an aircraft carrier in the U.S. Navy. When he returned, I wasn’t sure if cruising would be for him, but to my delight, he caught the cruising bug too!

Our Family’s Travel Adventures

We’re proud to be native Floridians, living in a place where people come to vacation. When the girls were little, most of our travel took place right here in Florida. Living near Walt Disney World, Busch Gardens, and SeaWorld meant family vacations were often spent in these beloved theme parks. We also spent a lot of time exploring Florida’s natural beauty in our RV, and boating—especially in the Florida Keys—has been a favorite hobby we still enjoy.

As the girls grew, we expanded our travels to Georgia, the Carolinas, and Tennessee. In 2014, we introduced the girls to cruising with their first voyage aboard Carnival Sunshine, and they were instantly hooked! Since then, we’ve sailed on Carnival Valor, Breeze, and Spirit. Cruising has become our favorite way to travel—where else can you visit multiple countries in a single week? Over the years, our daughters have explored the Caribbean and Alaska, and the lessons gained during those trips have become an integral part of their worldview as young adults.
